Knoll / Autolith - split CS

$6.00

Hot on the heels of their debut album, Interstice, which was released in February, Memphis-based six-piece, KNOLL have announced a new release. They have teamed up with fellow Tennessee band AUTOLITH to release a three-track split which will be available from us on cassette and via the band on vinyl/merch bundles.

The first track from the split by KNOLL, Gored Veil, is available to listen to now, with accompanying visuals created by Frank Huang, who also worked on visual elements of the Interstice release.

Of the video, KNOLL's Jamie Eubanks commented: "Gored Veil is the first song off of our split with Autolith. We've released it with video accompaniment by Frank Huang, who mangled assets from our performance at Roadburn into his usual visual hell. The track is a depiction of the mind's departure from unilateral thought."

The live footage is taken from a performance recorded specially for Roadburn Festival's online edition, Roadburn Redux, which took place in April. KNOLL showcased their material alongside the likes of Primitive Man, Full of Hell and Inter Arma. The invitation to participate followed widespread critical acclaim regarding Interstice and a positive response from new-found fans around the globe. Keen to keep maintain momentum, the death-grind ensemble teamed up with death-sludge four-piece AUTOLITH to create this brand new three-track audio assault.

KNOLL returned to Andy Nelson at Bricktop Recording in Chicago, to lay down their two tracks, meanwhile AUTOLITH recorded with Alan Burchum. All three tracks were mixed by Andy Nelson, before being mastered by Pete Grossman. As with Interstice, the release artwork was created by Ethan Lee McCarthy (HELL SIMULATION).
