Shipping

Pricing
There is a cost estimator you can see shipping cost before checkout. The price is what we pay, plus some for Paypal fees, and a bit for mailers. Shipping overseas is expensive and we are looking to see how some money can be saved there but have not found a reliable method we feel comfortable using.

Media Mail Exclusions (USA Only)
Please note that you CANNOT select MEDIA MAIL if your order has any clothing (shirt, hoodie, hat, banner, scarf, etc). Legally we are unable to ship clothing this rate. Media mail can be hard on LP mailers even in the best conditions.

Time To Ship
We normally ship on Saturdays so the shipping calculator estimated timeframe is just from after the time you get a shipping confirmation and then it is picked up. We don't normally print the shipping labels far in advanced of the shipping time - that may change in the future but usually the shipping label email means the package will go out the day of or the next day.

Insurance
On first class and media mail may be an optional add-on item in the store.

Damage
We pack orders the best we can but unfortunately we do not have replacement covers in all cases, please select priority mail if you want your item insured and if it arrives damaged please keep packaging as you will have to present it at the post office in your area. If item is completly destroyed or lost by USPS we can replace (if item in still available) or refund. We will do our best to prevent bent corners or seam splits but cannot guarantee against either. Please remember that we are a small record label and try to use the best packaging we can. We offer media mail shipping in the US as a money saving option but that is a rough rate on a record so we cannot be liable for cosmetic damage so please be aware of that risk if you order this rate. In a lot of cases especially with distributed items, we do not have replacement covers so a replacement means we have paid the wholesale price twice to replace your cover.

Patience
TLAL is mainly one person with very occasionally help of others so I appreciate your patience especially during preorders or if on a rare vacation.

Holds/Other Accomodations
We generally do not hold packages for longer than a week and cannot remail items from other places.

Payment
Your order will not ship until we recieve payment. If we do not receive payment in two weeks we will cancel your order to be fair to other people, this should not be a method of holding an item. If payment is received after a canceled order and we still have stock we will ship it to you.

Returns, Refunds, Reshipment
TLAL will accept returns minus shipping/paypal fee/price once the item has been received in the same condition it was shipped in. Refunds will be given if an item is broken or lost in the mail and it is requested rather than reshipment. Reshipment will happen free of charge if there was a shipping address error from our end, the item was damaged to the point of being unusable/unplayable (this does not include cosmetic damage, see above Damage item), upon a postal system error. If it was a postal system error please provide an alternative shipping address so we can send there instead of encountering another issue. If there was an address error on your part we ask you to send us payment for reshipping. A reminder we a small label and don't mark up a lot so reshipping can add up and become costly.

Update 11/8/2022 - We have to pay VAT for UK orders with our shipping software so you shouldn't be charged on accepting the order but you will now be charged 20% of your order + shipping from the store.
