So as you all know I’ve been busy at work on the Walsby’s Manchild #6 (updated colorized art) book. That is getting close to production! Edited, layouts by, colorized cover, and funded by myself!
Another FYI, I tend to post to the Facebook page the most out of anything. So for way too much info, go there. Also check out this interview I did for the Dutch M3.
So to preserve my sanity, I plan to take a year long hiatus after the completion of TLAL100 from putting out new records. This will not inhibit my distro or selling current jams and will not be a permanent stop from my label, just will be a way to come back focused and will hopefully have one less room filled wall to wall with records. I do NOT plan on stopping.
Last I will leave you with this. With the eminent pause in releases and my fears of how the RIAA is going to have ISPs policing downloads, I have gone semi-crazy in putting up all my past releases on Bandcamp (also check the net-label). Streaming at first until I can get them up for free for download. I’m adding new jams as fast as I can, here are some notable new additions:

Rape Revenge is a vegan straight edge queer feminist band from Calgary Alberta. They have been together for two years and have released a self titled 7”, a self released a live cassette, and are now have their brand new record, Paper Cage 7”, out on To Live A Lie Records. Rape Revenge has only played all ages shows (and a few guerilla parking lot and laundromat shows) since their inception, and is dedicated to the DIY all ages community. Members of Rape Revenge are involved in an all ages collective venue called Local Library, volunteer at the Distress Centre’s Out-Is-Ok (a crisis line for the LGBTQQ2 Community), are members of the Rock 4 Choice Collective and the Calgary Zine Library Collective, and also volunteer for Food Not Bombs, The Good Life Community Bike Shop, and a shelter for sexually exploited youth. Members of Rape Revenge also work as addictions counselors, mental health advocates, and also at a locally run organic grocery store. Rape Revenge writes songs about queer issues, women’s rights, child sexual exploitation, veganism, and anarchy. Their new EP features their fastest material to date.

Raleigh put on an amazing benefit show for Savina, Sergio of ACxDC’s daughter who needs heart surgery. More specifically she has Tetralogy of Fallot which can be fatal without surgery. Much respect to Ace Mendoza who put this show on and each band for playing. There was also a raffle featuring TLAL releases as prizes that made the family some additional money.
